The University of Wisconsin–Madison invites applications for a postdoc position in observational cosmology using early data from the Vera C. Rubin Observatory. The successful candidate will collaborate with members of the Legacy Survey of Space and Time Dark Energy Science Collaboration (LSST DESC) on studies of dark energy, dark matter, neutrino properties, and/or physics of the early Universe. Investigations that combine Rubin Observatory data w/ other datasets, e.g., CMB, spectroscopic surveys, and space-based imaging surveys, are welcome.
The initial postdoctoral appointment is for one year, renewable up to three years. Applicants should have completed a PhD before the start date. The position nominally begins in August-September 2025; earlier start dates are possible.
